Wild Spirit Wild Places Partners with Texan By Nature
Driftwood, TX: Today, Wild Spirit Wild Places announced its partnership with Texan By Nature, a leader in Texas conservation. This milestone is a major move for Wild Spirit Wild Places on its mission to create connections and build a community committed to protecting the expansive wild lands of Texas through conservation and education efforts.
“Unfortunately, wide expanses of land in Texas are under threat with thousands of acres being lost across the state due to growth and development,” said CEO of Wild Spirit Wild Places, Karen Looby, “This loss has profound effects on the Texas landscape, altering natural habitats and increasing pressures on our natural resources. However, there is much that we can do if we come together as a community to mitigate these circumstances and preserve the land for generations to come.”
This news comes in the wake of many recent initiatives and accomplishments of the nonprofit organization, including the conclusion of their first ever Conservation Month, highlighting the importance of protecting native pollinators. The organization will also be hosting their second annual fundraiser gala, Hullabaloo 2.
“Hullabaloo serves as an opportunity to engage the community in this work through an evening of food, drinks and music,” says Karen Looby, CEO at Wild Spirit Wild Places. “The event will raise funds critical to continuing our conservation education and stewardship programs.”
Hullabaloo 2 will feature live music, food, and drinks to help fund the future efforts of Wild Spirit Wild Places. The evening will kick off with a special screening of a short documentary film highlighting the individuals and organizations taking remarkable action in conservation and land stewardship.
