Help Keep Wild Places Wild
How are your donations used?
-
Honey Bee | $50
Honeybees are vital to our environment, they pollinate nearly three-quarters of the plants that produce 90% of the world's food.
$1000 will supply plants for a new pollinator garden space.
-
Horned Lizard | $100
Horned Lizards have amazing camouflage abilities. However, populations have declined since the 1960s due to habitat loss, collection as pets, and decline in their main food source, the harvester ant.
Prescribed burn costs differ for each property and time of year. Costs range from 50 cents per acre to $8 to $10 per acre or more.
-
Pronghorn | $250
Once numbering in millions and symbolic of the West, the pronghorn became close to extinction. Protection of habitat and hunting restrictions helped restore the pronghorn population to approximately 1,000,000 today.
Education is key. Scholarships ranging from $250-$1,500 for children and adults help create connections with the wilds and develop diversity in our conservation work.
-
Ocelot | $500
The rare and endangered Ocelot used to live throughout south Texas, the southern Edwards Plateau Region, and along the Coastal Plain. Now, there are only an estimated 50 ocelots that remain wild in the United States.
$10,000 makes it possible to conduct large scale land stewardship projects and continue telling important stories of coming together as a community and protecting the expansive lands of Texas.
