“There are two things that interest me: the relation of people to each other, and the relation of people to land.” ~ Aldo Leopold
Most landowners want to restore or enhance their land’s unique natural features, but being a land steward is more than simply bringing back native plants to a piece of property. It requires thoughtful connection and practice to ensure the land is healthy and can thrive. But, where do we start, and how can we accomplish our stewardship goals?
Come out to the ranch and connect with us!
The folks at Felton Ranch have opened their gates and are offering a ranch tour focusing on their regenerative ranching and conservation efforts. After the tour, we will come together for a “lawn chair chat” focused on selected land stewardship "101" topics presented by invited land stewardship experts from Texas A&M AgriLife Extension Service, Hays County Chapter of the Texas Master Naturalists, Project Bedrock, Naturalist Studies, Wild Birds Unlimited, and Hays County Friends of the Night Sky. We will have time to connect with one another as we enjoy a ranch meal grilled by Firewild, cocktails presented by Desert Door Texas Sotol, and some songs inspired by the Texas Hill Country by singer/songwriter Jacob Jaeger.
